The XTN™ site-specific nuclease technology can be used in conjunction with Transposagen’s other core technology, piggyBac™, as the only system in the world that allows for Footprint-Free™ genetic engineering down to a single base pair. The gene editing vectors empower researchers to specifically knock-in a genetic change of interest such as a base pair, select for the correct genetic change and then remove the selectable marker leaving behind only the change of interest. The Footprint-Free™ excision eliminates the need to pick and screen sometimes hundreds of cellular clones which is extremely expensive, time consuming and laborious.

THE MULTIVECTOR™
The Multivector is Transposagen’s premiere footprint-free gene editing vector. The Multivector was created as a flexible tool to enable generation of targeting vectors for both animal and human genome editing projects. It contains the piggyBac transposon elements, drug resistance genes, LoxP recombination sites, and unique restriction sites to accommodate a variety of research project requirements
